I was a fan a lot like you; I only ever knew Joe. He gave me a Juicebox bracelet for my birthday once when This Condition’s merch was set up next to Patent Pending’s. Years later, I found myself loading in to a venue somewhere in the state of Florida, and now I can’t really imagine not keeping up with the where and whatabouts of those crazy, ridiculous, amazing and important fools. I can’t remember if Patent Pending were my friends, or my favorite set first.

Fast forward to the end of this past summer, and I’m using the drummer’s name more times than I’m not. He was there the night I read your post telling of your newly dedicated ink, and he texted me right after he met you the other night in Montrose. I will have to agree with you on the sweetness, and I will add crazy, ridiculous, amazing and important. He’s important to me, and to this blog. I’m glad you guys had a chat, hope I’m around for the next one. I promise I will be.
